Bio Equity is a healthcare-focused special situations investment firm located in Boston, Massachusetts. We acquire investments through direct secondary transactions, providing solutions for equity and debt holders in both private and public healthcare companies. Our investments may be structured as a purchase alone, or coupled with a primary investment directly into companies in which we acquire an interest. Typically, the security holders with which we transact are venture capital and private equity firms and their limited partners, corporations, mutual funds, hedge funds, company founders and executives. We evaluate and acquire investment positions in both individual companies and portfolios of companies.

In addition, when security holders want to retain existing positions, but face value erosion in one or more of their investments as a result of follow-on-financings in which they are not participating, we can preserve the value with an annex fund structure.

We invest broadly across the healthcare sector, including medical devices, specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare IT and services. We focus on mid to later stage companies and portfolios.
